Taiyuan Binhe Sports Center was put into operation in August 1998 and is a major comprehensive activity venue for large-scale sports competitions in Taiyuan City. In preparation for the hosting of the Second National Youth Games in 2019, Taiyuan Binhe Sports Center, as the main venue, is undergoing intense renovation and expansion.
The expansion and renovation project was designed by the China Academy of Building Research. As a professional provider of comprehensive solutions for building products, Yongke will exclusively offer nearly 30,000 square meters of exterior aluminum alloy honeycomb panels specially tailored for the Taiyuan Binhe Sports Center. The 25mm thick aluminium alloy honeycomb panel is composed of two surface effects: high gloss silver and sand gloss silver. The strip-flaky prefabricated lap structure forms the exterior wall ventilation Rain Screen Facade System (Ventilated Rain Screen Facade System), effectively reducing the energy consumption of the building. This product fully embodies the product concept of Yongke Metal Exterior Wall System, which is "to showcase the beauty of the building facade and provide its functionality and comfort".
By the end of 2018, the renovation project of Binhe Sports Center will be fully completed. Besides hosting sports events, it will also become an important venue for the citizens of Taiyuan to engage in mass fitness activities.
