Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport
Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport, with an exterior shaped like a starfish, has a terminal building area of 478,000 square meters. The interior ceiling utilizes an open-style square tube ceiling system, connected by multiple continuous curved surfaces. The main ceiling material is composed of 70*300 square tubes. The core "starfish" section has a complex structure, using 70*200 and 70*400 square tubes interlocked to form a grid pattern, combined with stretched mesh panels to ensure aesthetics. The continuous curved surfaces integrate the five concourses with the main hall, achieving a reasonable balance between centralized and modular design, making it the first terminal building to adopt a centralized, single-unit five-finger concourse design.
**Keeper Layout Features:**
The overall terminal building is shaped like a starfish. The central area of the starfish is composed of interlocking 70*200 and 70*400 square tubes, backed by a metal stretched mesh panel. The exterior of the starfish is composed of 70*300 square tubes, radiating outwards.
