The main hall of Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport features 40 lotus-leaf-shaped columns with complex shapes and constantly changing curves, resembling "lotuses emerging from water." These columns utilize Saxony's irregularly shaped hyperbolic diffused honeycomb aluminum panels, significantly reducing the need for indoor lighting fixtures while also providing anti-glare functionality. Combined with the lotus-shaped pillar skylights of the main terminal building and the central lotus valley, this design achieves excellent ventilation and natural lighting within the terminal.
