Sanya Phoenix International Airport
Yafenghuang International Airport, with the core concept of "The Phoenix soars, warmth accompanies", gracefully spreads its wings on the coast of the South China Sea. It is a landmark project marking the expansion and upgrading of the aviation hub under the background of the closure and operation of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
The T3 terminal building covers an area of approximately 120,000 square meters. The roof structure's steel frame is inspired by the line "Fenghuang Flying Together" from the Book of Songs. 17 40-meter-tall phoenix tail columns and the streamlined golden roof jointly recreate the graceful posture of a "flying phoenix". The interior ceiling system uses high diffuse reflective honeycomb aluminum panels, and 3-millimeter precision assembly is achieved through 3D laser scanning and point cloud technology, resembling the feathers of a silver armor and precise fitting. Tropical marine elements such as waves, corals, and floating islands are integrated into the decorative details, allowing passengers to immerse themselves in the blue sea and white sand of Sanya and the open temperature of the Free Trade Port during their convenient travels.
